This Decree prescribes that security deposits for travel service business will decrease by 80% as compared to the previous ones until the end of December 31, 2023, specifically including:
- The amount of security deposit for domestic travel service business: VND 20 million (previously VND 100 million);
- The amounts of security deposits for international travel service business:
+ Inbound travel services provided for international tourists entering into Vietnam: VND 50 million (previously VND 250 million);
+ Outbound travel services provided for domestic tourists visiting other foreign countries: VND 100 million (previously VND 500 million);
+ Mixed-tour services provided for both international tourists entering into Vietnam and domestic tourists visiting foreign countries: VND 100 million (previously VND 500 million).
As from January 1, 2024, the amounts of security deposit will be subject to regulations laid down in clause 1 and 2 of Article 14 in the Government’s Decree No. 168/2017/ND-CP.
Decree No. 94/2021/ND-CP is entering into force as of October 28, 2021.
