To be specific, health facilities must implement electronic prescription as prescribed in Circular No. 27/2021/TT-BYT according to the following specific roadmap:
- For class-3 hospitals or higher: complete before December 31, 2022.
(Currently, Circular No. 27/2021/TT-BYT prescribes that the electronic prescription must be completed before June 30, 2022).
- For other health facilities: complete before June 30, 2023.
(Currently, Circular No. 27/2021/TT-BYT prescribes that the electronic prescription must be completed before December 01, 2022).
Thus, Circular No. 04/2022/TT-BYT has delayed the deadline for completing the electronic prescription compared to the current regulations in Circular 27/2021/TT-BYT .
In addition, Circular No. 04/2022/TT-BYT also amends some regulations of Circular No. 52/2017/TT-BYT and Circular No. 18/2018/TT-BYT which amends Circular No. 52/2017/TT-BYT on prescription of modern drugs and biologicals in outpatient treatment.
Circular No. 04/2022/TT-BYT comes into force from September 15, 2022.
