Vietnam to increase the management and strict handling of violations of laws on prices

This is the content of Official Telegram No. 05/CD-BTC dated September 28, 2022 of the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam on the continuation of the acceleration and increase of measures to manage and operate prices.

The Ministry of Finance of Vietnam informs that from now until the end of 2022, inflation in some countries will continue to increase, the petroleum price in the world is developing unusually, and prices of many materials, strategic supplies, and domestic products are increasing dramatically, etc.

Therefore, the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam has several requests for the contribution to the control of inflation according to the proposed objectives, such as:  

-  Continuation of the acceleration of the implementation of Official Telegram No. 679/CD-TTg dated July 31, 2022 of the Prime Minister of Vietnam on the increase of measures to manage and operate prices; etc.

- Flexible and efficient use of tools and measures to control prices according to regulations of laws on prices to control and stabilize the market;

- Intensification of the efficient implementation and monitoring of the implementation of measures to declare and list prices; disclosure of information on prices; organization of the inspection of compliance with laws on prices and strict handling of violations of laws on prices.  

Additionally, the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam also requests relevant units such as Departments of Finance, the General Department of Taxation, the General Department of Vietnam Customs, the General Department of State Reserves, and the Vietnam State Treasury to proactively, synchronously, and efficiently implement assigned tasks and increase the management, operation, and stabilization of prices to avoid abnormal changes affecting the socio-economic life.
