According to the Notification, the schedules for the Lunar New Year Holiday and National Day Holiday in 2024 applicable to officials, public employees, and employees are as follows:
+ The Lunar New Year Holiday schedule in 2024 is from Thursday, February 8, 2024 of the Gregorian calendar to the end of Wednesday, February 14, 2024 of the Gregorian calendar (which is December 29 of the Moon calendar of the Year of the Cat to the end of January 5 of the Moon calendar of the Year of the Dragon).
+ The vacation period includes 5 days of the Lunar New Year Holiday and 2 days off as the compensatory days off for the weekly holidays according to Clause 3 Article 11 of the Labor Code..
The National Day Holiday schedule 2024 is from Saturday, August 31, 2024 to the end of Tuesday, September 3, 2024 of the Gregorian calendar. This vacation period includes 2 days off for the National Day Holiday and 2 weekly holidays.
Lunar New Year Holiday and National Day Holiday Schedules 2024 applicable to employees
Employers may apply the schedules for the Lunar New Year Holiday and National Day Holiday 2024 applicable to officials and public employees or select the following schemes for the schedules for the Lunar New Year Holiday and National Day Holiday applicable to employees:
+ Regarding the Lunar New Year Holiday: Select 1 day at the end of the Year of the Cat and 4 days at the beginning of the Year of the Dragon or 2 days at the end of the Year of the Cat and 3 days at the beginning of the Year or the Dragon or 3 days at the end of the Year of the Cat and 2 days at the beginning of the Year of the Dragon.
+ Regarding the National Day Holiday: Monday, September 2, 2024 of the Gregorian calendar and select Sunday, September 1, 2024 or Tuesday, September 3, 2024 of the Gregorian calendar.
If the weekly days off coincide with the public holidays according to Clause 1 Article 112 of the Labor Code., employers shall arrange compensatory days off for employees on the next working days according to Clause 3 Article 111 of the Labor Code.
